Adjunct Associate Professor Huong Le-Dao brings over 25 years of cross-industry expertise in leadership, transformational change, and project management to the health sector. With a career spanning banking, mining, transport, health, and education, Huong now focuses her strategic lens on shaping 21st-century healthcare systems through a focus on sustainable leadership and practical professional development . 

As the founder of HLD Practical Workshops and former Director of Short Courses at UNSW Medicine & Health, Huong facilitates our workshops across the three series. A specialist in bridging the gap between academic theory and frontline practice, Huong excels at equipping health professionals (both clinical and non-clinical) with the high-impact capabilities needed to navigate the complexities of the modern health ecosystem. From establishing bespoke micro-credential programmes to leading large-scale strategic policy shifts, Huong’s work is dedicated to boosting professional effectiveness and leadership resilience across the health landscape. 

The Resilient Clinician workshop is led by Dr Kenneth Wong (Specialist Surgeon, FRACS) with a distinguished 27-year career spanning across the public and private health systems. A former Head of Department with deep institutional knowledge, Dr Wong bridges the gap between clinical excellence and organisational survival.

By integrating lessons learned from both the public and private systems, this engaging workshop bypasses theory to deliver the raw, practical strategies needed to navigate the modern health landscape with confidence.
